Suggestions for Participants

The PeaceWalk is celebrating its 50th year! During that time walkers have learned a couple of things that may be useful for you to kow:

  1. First and foremost, wear comfortable walking shoes. 10 miles walked largely on rough roadway is not the easiest on your feet.
  2. Dress in layers. Some years the sunny afternoons can be very pleasant, and some years the evenings are quite cold. Be prepared for both extremes!
  3. You might consider rain gear if the weather looks wet.
  4. Utensiles - in the interest of conservation bring a cup or a bowl for water and/or soup and a spoon.
  5. We ask you not to bring political signs, as this is a non-political pilgrimage and not a demonstration.
  6. Lunch is not provided, so you may want to bring a snack and eat a hearty breakfast!

We look forward to walking with you!
