Suggestions for Participants
The PeaceWalk is celebrating its 50th year! During that time walkers have learned a couple of things that may be useful for you to kow:
- First and foremost, wear comfortable walking shoes. 10 miles walked largely on rough roadway is not the easiest on your feet.
- Dress in layers. Some years the sunny afternoons can be very pleasant, and some years the evenings are quite cold. Be prepared for both extremes!
- You might consider rain gear if the weather looks wet.
- Utensiles - in the interest of conservation bring a cup or a bowl for water and/or soup and a spoon.
- We ask you not to bring political signs, as this is a non-political pilgrimage and not a demonstration.
- Lunch is not provided, so you may want to bring a snack and eat a hearty breakfast!
We look forward to walking with you!
